TREES
5/5 Pieces for "Five Pieces" Foundations I final assignment at the University of Arkansas.
Project statement
This series of posters was created almost entirely from pictures in my camera roll taken
randomly throughout my time living in Arkansas. I wanted to not only personally commemorate
this new chapter of my life but delve into the different aspects of it, memorializing each facet of
my new experience as an adult freshly out on my own. Almost reverently, I also sought to pay
homage to the things that got me through my first semester in college- even when I wasn’t at my
best mentally. This project is my tribute to the little things (and the people) that helped me keep
going and push myself forward.

This poster concludes my 'Five Pieces' series- this piece is made up of photos taken around Fayetteville, Arkansas and is a love letter to the natural beauty of this area. Coming from Texas, I never experienced grand and colorful trees changing throughout the season- something small and seemingly meaningless, but it was something that meant a lot to me. Being able to appreciate a small detail like pretty trees was something that helped me throughout the semester as things got difficult for me.
